3 Ikea Hacks I Need to Try

Just recently I was wondering whether I should slowly replace our Ikea furniture for some pieces which are worth a bit more money. But, after deliberating for quite some time, there’s definitely nothing wrong with the odd or few bits from Ikea. I have numerous bookcases from them and they are all pretty sturdy and have lasted a good few years already. Who cares if everyone and their dog has the same coffee table as you. It must mean something, right?! I have however been looking at ways to spruce up a few of my Ikea pieces this week.

DIY Knotted Ikea FOTO Pendant Lamp Cord

I love the look of the twisted Ikea FOTO Pendant Lamp cord. By simply glueing cord around the lamp cord, it covers the electrics and transforms what is a £22 light into something which looks like it’s been purchased in a high-end homeware shop.  The DIY seems easy to follow too.

Which is your favourite? I’m definitely going to order some accessories for a few of my ikea units from Superfront next week. But, it’s made me want to be a bit more imaginative on my next Ikea trip.

Superfront

After discovering the website, Superfront not too long ago. I was instantly inspired by adding a few new handles and doors here and there. I already have a couple of Ikea’s Bestå units, and Superfront’s cupboard fronts would easily transform them. I’ve also got my eye on their brass handles, leather pulls and furniture legs.
