I’m finally getting into filming videos for my Youtube Channel. It’s taken me a while to find some much-needed courage. But, I uploaded my January Favourites last weekend. It featured all my favourite items from throughout the month of January. I was pleasantly suprised how easy it was to film, edit and upload. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not keen on how I come across on camera. Who wants to listen to someone repeatedly utter the worlds ‘like’ and ‘erm’… But, I’ve got to start somewhere, eh?! I’m planning on filming a lot of home decor videos and lifestyle features in-between. I definitely want my channel to be an extension to my blog. I like the idea of filming a few DIY videos too.
I enjoyed writing this round-up, so I might make this a weekly feature. I love being able to share my current DIY projects and purchases which aren’t worthy enough for a full blown blog post. So, it’ll be the perfect place to round a few thoughts of the week up.
What do you think?
I mentioned what my goals for this year were last month. And, I had a pretty productive January. On top of that, I have finally got myself contact lenses. Not only am I extremely excited to not have to feel boxed within a pair of specs. But, I also found out that my glasses prescription was way out. It was amazing to find out that what I was thinking was my perfect eye sight, was in fact really poor. It’s so good to be finally able to see the blades of grass and I’ve also discovered a bit more about where I live (crazy -huh?!). I can now see across the fields to some cute cottages. No longer do I need to worry about giving directions to our house. That always dreaded me with fear… I was starting to think it was my memory. But, I can now see clearly – hurray!
I painted my office last weekend. I’m hoping to paint a new room in our house every week or so. I can’t wait to finally get rid of the magnolia. I can’t believe the difference a bit of white paint has made in my office. I’m now ordering all my new furniture and arranging a few art prints on the walls. As, I spend most of working hours in my office. I knew I needed to create a space which I was happy in. But, also which flowed well with the rest of the house. I didn’t want the room looking out of place and definitely didn’t want any ‘typical’ office furniture or storage. I think I’ve finally got it completed, just awaiting the furniture.
