I may be in my early twenties, but nothing excites me more than the countdown till Christmas. If chocolate doesn’t float your boat (it totally doesn’t for me!) or you already have a big enough beauty stash to last you till next Christmas, I’ve been searching high and low for this year’s alternative advent calendars.
Another advent calendar from Brighton Beautiful, is this elegant Advent Calendar Wooden Display Box. Complete with 24 individual spaces, each is numbered from 1 to 24, with the last reading “Happy Christmas”. There’s so many neat things you could add into each section. And, it wouldn’t look out of place in your home if you prefer your christmas decor to not be over the top!
Jonh Lewis’ delightful Wooden Advent Calendar features 25 red and white painted houses. With each of them representing a different date, the miniture houses can be hung from a tree in true festive sprit.
This year, Yankee Candle have released two advent calendars with 23 festive scents. Featured in each advent calendar are scented tea lights and a special votive candle treat behind the last door. Yankee Candle’s Advent house features scents such as Fire, Winter Glow, Snowflake Cookie, Icicles, Christmas Garland, Spiced Orange and Christmas Eve. I love the idea of being able to light a new Candle each day. Especially when it’s Yankee Candle.
This East of India Advent Peg Set is complete with 24 cream wooden pegs to mark each day. Each decorated with a snowflake heart, they are perfect for hanging gifts on. As well, as acting as a seperate decoration for your home for Christmas.
If you prefer something a little simpler, Ferm Living’s Christmas House Calendar is simply stunning! With monochrome fabric, it features small pockets to hide each gift in the countdown to Christmas.
I’ve ordered myself the Yankee Candle Advent House, and I’m already counting down the days till I can open the first door. Nevermind all the festive scents I’ll have to burn!
