I probably make the most changes to our home at the start of Spring. I love kitting out our place out with new Spring trends and making everywhere look and feel a lot lighter. Especially as the days get warmer and brighter.
When the new SS17 range by Heart of House hit my inbox, I was instantly in awe with their Purity trend. Their range includes trends of Artisan, Summer House, Purity and Discovery. But, Purity really stood out to me the most. With hints of Japanese and Scandinavian design, the Purity trend is all about matte and natural surfaces creating the perfect simple living look. I love the idea of using pops of Scandinavian design throughout, as I’m not overly keen on our whole house featuring the trend. Especially when we live in the countryside. I like to use the trend in an under-stated way and that’s exactly what Heart of House have done within their SS17 collection.
I bought a couple of pieces from their collection and wanted to share how I’ve used the Purity trend to update our space for Spring and Summer.
Heart of House’s Jacquard Bedding features a gorgeous geometric print. It has a supersoft 180 thread count and 100% cotton reverse. I don’t usually opt for patterned bedding, so this was perfect as it adds plenty of texture and a real subtle look to our bed. I’ve spotted quite a few subtle geometric prints throughout their SS17 range and their definitely my favourite patterns.
I really love the fabric of the bedding. The top of the bedding feels nicely textured and thick. While underneath is incredibly soft – which is exactly what I want from a bedding set. It’s taken me forever to find bedding that matched perfectly with our headboard and I love the overall look of our bed now.
I’ve been after a new bathroom set and knew I wanted to add a touch of marble into the space. I was so pleased I opted for Heart of House’s Marble Set, as I’ve seen a few variations in the shops that aren’t real marble! The heavy stone features simple silver detailing for the soap dispenser and the soap dish fits perfectly on our sink. I love the size of the Marble tumbler, as our old one was too big and bulky. It’s really made our window organised and the space looks a lot less cluttered.
What do you think of their SS17 range? You can check out all their trends within the collection on Argo’s website. It’s also good to know that all of Heart of House’s furniture comes with a 3-year guarantee, so you can be confident that it will last.
