I love finding out Pantone’s colour of the year. This year is pretty special, as there’s not one but two colours. Serenity (a muted blue) and Rose Quartz (a pastel pink), which both complement each other perfectly. I love the soft pink and the blue is something I wouldn’t normally gravitate to. But, I really like it!
Add a Statement Piece of Furniture
I’ve always dreamed of having a pastel pink chair. Whether you want a statement piece of furniture or add in a set of practical drawers; a pastel pink or blue would really add a little something extra to your room. I’d love a pink chest of drawers in my bedroom.
Accessorise with a Cosy Rug
I often sway to natural or lightly patterned rugs. I don’t often use them as a feature to a room. But, I love the idea of using a soft pink.
Add a Feature Wall
This is something I’ve been toying with the idea of doing to one of our spare rooms recently. I originally loved the idea of having a dark grey feature wall. But, as I’ve been researching soft pinks and blues. I think either of them would be great. It’d be easy to accessorise around the colour hue too.
Combine with Marble
If you’re anything like me and you’re loving your marble surfaces at the moment (or since forever!), pairing a pastel hue such as Pantone’s Rose Quartz or Serenity makes a dream combination.
